Realizing Your Vision
Realizing Your Vision
Step 1: See It
Visualize your vision in detail. Imagine yourself being there. Does the crowd roar with excitement? Do you receive a standing ovation? Are you crying with joy? Are you staring into the stars, thanking the one for being there for you? Whatever it is, you must be able to see it vividly in your imagination (read my blog, A Beautiful Future).
Step 2: Want it (I mean really want it)
After you have visualized it, you have to really want it. If your vision doesn’t excite you, you need to visualize it again. Find the vision that really excites you.
Step 3: Believe it
Once you have determined that you really want it, it is time that you convince yourself to believe it. Believe it as though it has been ordained as your destiny to fulfill your vision. Don’t pay attention to the naysayers and those who discourage you. As long as you believe it, that is all that matters.
Step 4: Work hard for it
This is the part where “rubber meets the road.” You need to work harder (and smarter) than you have ever did to pursue your vision with a passion. Set milestones so that you feel progress, and timelines so that you know you are on track. Know that there will be sacrifices and obstacles ahead. Be diligent, get creative and don’t be afraid to seek help. Stick to good principles and values.
Step 5: Realize it
After all the hard work, as well as sacrifices and disappointments along the way, you have finally realized your vision. If your vision is as you had imagined it, you were true to your vision. If it is not as you had imagined it, you had somehow followed or sacrificed the wrong principles and values in reaching this point. Know that when your vision involves others, you may not receive the response as you had hoped. You can only find happiness and content for yourself. You may not always be able to find happiness and content for others.
Follow these five steps. Don’t let fear, discouragement, or self-doubt deter you. See it, believe it, work hard for it, then you will realize it!

[...] The few will take on the future. We will achieve great things, inspire others and live life as if any day could be our last (read my post on How To Inspire Others). We realize that NOT money, fame, food, water or even air is our most valuable resource in life; but it is our “time” that cannot be wasted. We will dream, but dreaming and not believing is short lived. Dreaming but not doing is simply a waste of our time. We will plan, do, and yes, sometimes we will fail. Each time we fail, we will learn from our mistakes; and fail again if we must. The most important thing is that we keep on trying (read my post on Realizing Your Vision). [...]
