How to Find Your True Passion
How to Find Your True Passion
Most of us weren’t born knowing exactly what we are passionate about, or what we want to do in life. We have our dreams, we watch others inspire us. We might imagine ourselves on a stage with crowds cheering, or perhaps on the highest mountain peak, looking below at our achievement in getting there.
All of us were born with unique gifts. How we use these gifts to pursue our passion is how we should lead a happy life. If your gift is painting beautiful images, your passion might be to inspire beauty in the world. If your gift is creating beautiful music, your passion might be to inspire love and excitement. If your gift is sharing knowledge, your passion might be to enlighten people’s minds. If your gift is making people laugh, your passion might be to create happiness in people’s hearts. If your gift is saving lives, your passion might be to give hope in others. And yes, this is mine, if your gift is creating innovation, your passion might be to improve people’s lives.
Step 1: Know your gifts
It starts with knowing your gifts. Search within yourself and make a list of your gifts. Ask others who are close to you to help you identify your gifts. Everyone has gifts, and every one of these gifts are as important as the other, which make you YOU. Don’t just equate “gifts” with “talent.” A gift could be having a caring heart, a beautiful smile, fun-loving personality, stubborn determination, and even as imaginative as having a grand vision.
Step 2: Imagine what you could do or be with these gifts
Look at your gifts, then imagine what you could do or be with these gifts that will make you the happiest. Let your imagination run wild. Don’t let doubt and reality limit what you can do or be; after all, your limit is whatever you can dream.
Step 3: Follow your heart, get excited
Follow your heart, get EXCITED! If what you imagined gets you excited (and I mean really excited), then you have found your passion. Record this moment. Write it down, record yourself describing it. Paint a picture, sing a song, write a poem or whatever inspires you and helps you remember.
After finding your true passions, read my blog, Realizing Your Vision to help you turn each of your passion into reality.
